How do I try it with fake money first?
Use a provider's test or paper mode where the trading connection supports it. Check the provider and connection settings before sending any order; a local installation alone does not mean fake money.

How Officer handles it
In Pit Officer, configure the test connection, give the agent a balance and set small size and rate limits. Send an order within those limits, then deliberately send one above the size cap to see a refusal.

In test mode, with a quantity cap of 1, an order for 2 shares is rejected.
What Officer does not do
Test and live modes depend on the provider and connection settings. Tracking an executed trade is not a way to stop it; test results do not guarantee live profits or a final loss.
Limits apply only to orders routed through Officer. An agent with its own broker keys can trade outside Officer.
