What if my AI ignores the rules I wrote in the prompt?
A rule written in a prompt is not an enforced order limit. Put the limit in Officer so an order that breaks it is rejected even if the AI asks for it.
Category: pre-trade risk control
How Officer handles it
Pit Officer checks routed orders in code, outside the agent. Set a size cap, an attempt rate and a balance; use a profit and loss stop or block the account when needed.
Example of a refused order
Your prompt says 'at most 10 shares', but the AI requests 50. With Officer's quantity cap set to 10, that order is rejected.
What Officer does not do
Officer does not make the AI follow every instruction or judge its trading idea. A rejected order is not a guarantee that later trades will be profitable.
Limits apply only to orders routed through Officer. An agent with its own broker keys can trade outside Officer.
